Mayer Hawthorne album and tour on the way

by Jeremy Dupetat
Mayer Hawthorne has announced the release of his third album Where Does This Door Go on July 16 through Republic Records. The album features production work from Pharrell Williams, Greg Wells and others.

First single “Her Favorite Song” will be out soon.

About Where Does This Door Go, Mayer explains, “The only rule I had when I went in to make this album was that it had to be fun.”

Lyrically, he’s moved away from the bitter break-up tone of his first two albums toward more diverse storytelling and personal coming-of-age content.

Mayer describes Where Does This Door Go as “a journey into the unknown. As a musician, you’re only as good as your next record, and you never know what’s through that next door.”

This summer, the artist supports OneRepublic on tour, along with headlining shows. See full routing below.
