Wild World - the follow-up to Bastille's debut album, Bad Blood, which has sold more than four million albums worldwide alongside 11 million singles - is out today via Virgin Records and available HERE.
This morning, the Grammy-nominated U.K. band celebrated the album's release with a visit to NBC's "Today" and a performance on the show's Rockefeller Plaza stage.
Fans can check out Wild World Communications headquarters, a highly visual, interactive pop-up store, when it opens later today at a yet-to-be revealed Brooklyn location. Fans packed the first pop-up shop in Hollywood, CA after Bastille's appearance on the outdoor stage of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
The band, which also appeared recently on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," performed a concert at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles earlier this week, which was broadcast on iHeartRadio alternative and rock stations in 30 markets and streamed live on the iHeart app.
On Sept. 30, Bastille will kick off "The Born To Be Wild World North American Mini Tour" tour with a performance at the 89X Chill On The Hill Fest in Sterling Heights, MI. Their headline shows at six intimate venues sold out minutes after going on sale, including the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY (October 3), New York City's Bowery Ballroom (October 4) and the Troubadour in West Hollywood, CA (October 9 and 10). The band will also headline the fourth annual Jeep on the Rocks Concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on October 7. See below for itinerary.
"Good Grief," the first single from Wild World, is already a Top 5 hit at Alternative radio in the U.S. The track, which has more than 36 million streams on Spotify to date, will impact the Pop formats next week with early major market airplay in New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C.In the U.K., the track reached No. 1 on Apple Music's Hot Tracks chart, reached No. 2 in overall airplay and topped the Shazam chart. It's also charted on Spotify's Global, U.S. and U.K. Charts.Views for the official "Good Grief" video, which can be seen HERE, now exceed five million.
Wild World is a collection of 14 songs (19 on the complete edition) penned by vocalist Dan Smith and co-produced with Mark Crew.
Dan Smith started Bastille alone in his bedroom five years ago, releasing 300 copies of debut single "Flaws/Icarus." Joined by Chris Wood (drums), Will Farquarson (guitar) and Kyle Simmons (keyboards), the band line-up was complete. Bastille's debut album, Bad Blood, contained the 5x Platinum single "Pompeii" and the Gold-certified tracks "Bad Blood" and "Flaws." "Pompeii" topped Billboard's Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs and Adult Alternative Songs charts and peaked at No. 3 on the Pop Songs chart.
