Blue Note Records has signed indie rock/soul outfit Vintage Trouble. The Los Angeles-based band will be entering the studio shortly to begin work on its Blue Note debut. Vintage Trouble will also be performing at numerous festivals in the coming months, including Bonnaroo. See below for itinerary.
“We are so excited to be joining a music family that is known for its depth, sincerity, excellence, style, timelessness, and class,” said Vintage Trouble. “Our roots and inspiration are steeped in the musical traditions that Blue Note Records has always cultivated and that are the foundation for American music as we know it today. We could not ask for a better house to share creative endeavors with and we want to thank Don Was and the entire Blue Note family for welcoming us with such open hearts, souls, and minds.”
Vintage Trouble – comprising Ty Taylor (vocals), Nalle Colt (guitar), Richard Danielson (drums) and Rick Barrio Dill (bass) got their start playing residencies at Los Angeles area clubs and word-of-mouth soon spread internationally.
