Mat Kearney set to return with new material, tour

I did an interview with Mat for his last effort (see elsewhere on this blog), so I'm looking forward to hearing the new material... 
 
Mat Kearney's upcoming album Just Kids [Republic Records] can be pre-ordered now through iTunes, Amazon MP3 and Google Play. Fans who use iTunes and Amazon MP3 will receive downloads of both the new single "Heartbeat" and title track "Just Kids" as instant grats.

To record the new material, the singer/songwriter built a portable studio on his bus, and he cut songs all over the world. 

Most recent album, 2011's Young Love, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Digital Chart and #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Known for songs such as "Nothing Left to Lose," "Hey Mama" and "Ships in the Night," his music has been featured in countless television shows and films ranging from Soul Surfer and Parenthood to The Closer, NCIS, 30 Rock, and Vampire Diaries.

Kearney's 2006 major label debut Nothing Left to Lose has sold over 450,000 copies, while 2009’s City of Black & White hit #13 on the Billboard Top 200. He has supported John Mayer and Keane on the road.
