Saturday afternoon will feature a celebration of MIDI@40 on the stage. Beginning at 3:15pm, the afternoon will celebrate 40 years of MIDI technology with a performance by Resonant Alien, the new band featuring Brian Hardgroove and DJ Johnny Juice, awards and honors.
The acts join a roster which will be appearing on the stage and inside the Anaheim Convention Center. Additional Yamaha performers include Dan Rouse, Grace Kelly, Jake Eddy and Jordan Tice, Jimmy Keegan, Chris Johnson, Matteo Mancuso, Charles Ruggiero, and special guests.
Additional musical performances on the Yamaha Grand Plaza stage and across The NAMM Show campus can be experienced each day of the show through the Bands at NAMM lineup.

The NAMM TEC Experience (6-7:30 p.m.) – The TEC Experience recognizes finalists in 21 Technical Achievement categories and one Studio Design Project category. Also planned during NAMM’s Hip Hop 50 celebration as a part of The TEC Experience are: Lord Finesse of Diggin' In The Crates (D.I.T.C.) will open the evening’s events; Chuck D of Public Enemy will be honored with NAMM's first ever Impact Music & Culture Award (conceived by producer/songwriter and bandmate, Brian Hardgroove); The world's first "Turntablist" GrandMixer DXT will be receive the Hip-Hop Innovator Award for his creative use of the turntable as a musical instrument; a performance by Resonant Alien, the new band featuring Brian Hardgroove and DJ Johnny Juice of Public Enemy. A music video montage of the history of Hip-Hop from music/video mashup creator, producer, and director, Mike Relm.

The 21st Annual Parnelli Awards (7- 11 p.m.) – The premier awards show for the live event industry, recognizing pioneering, influential professionals, and their contributions.

The Artist and Producer Relationship panel featuring Tony Brown, Lee Ann Womack, and Frank Liddell (1-2:00 p.m.) – This panel will feature a discussion about the trust capabilities and musical chemistry that each must have to succeed.
