Cal Jam 18 update

Foo Fighters' Cal Jam 18 festival takes place on Oct. 5-6 at Glen Helen Regional Park and Amphitheater in Devore (outside San Bernardino, CA).

A special pop-up event will happen Sunday, Aug. 26 at the Hollywood Palladium from 3-7 p.m. It will be all ages and free with a performance by Chevy Metal (drummer Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters), exclusive merch deals, photo opps with Dave Grohl's imfamous tour throne and white limo, plus food and drinks. As a special offer only available at the pop-up, music fans can get $49 newly announced General Admission Lawn Only tickets with no service fees courtesy of Harley-Davidson.

Tickets are also available at Ticketmaster.com and caljamfest.com/tickets. General Admission Lawn Only tickets have access to the main stage LAWN AREA ONLY, Sun and Mountain stages, carnival rides and general parking.

This year, Saturday ticket holders have the option to buy a Friday night ticket for $30 (plus taxes and fees). All camping packages include free entrance to the Friday Night Party with performances by Billy Idol, Bridget Everett, Mexrrisey, Cosmic Kahuna and more, plus first access to ride the rides and see the museum.

The debut weekend in 2017 drew 30,000+ people.

This year, the Friday night party on Oct. 5 gives those with camping passes and Friday night tickets a set from Billy Idol as well as comedienne Bridget Everett, Mexico City's Mexrrissey, performing their set of Smiths and Morrissey cover songs in Spanish and Cosmic Kahuna.

On Oct. 6, Cal Jam will continue last year's tradition of a 12-hour rock extravaganza. Foo Fighters will headline after Iggy Pop - playing with the Post Pop Depression band featuring Queens of The Stone Age's Joshua Homme, Dean Fertita and Troy Van Leeuwen and Arctic Monkeys' drummer Matt Helders.

Others on that day's bill include: Jack Black and Kyle Gass of Tenacious D, Garbage, Greta van Fleet, Silversun Pickups, Manchester Orchestra, Krist Novoselic of Nirvana's new band Giant In The Trees, Slaves (UK), Gang of Youths, Black Mountain and more. See full list below.

Campers will be treated to outdoor midnight movies and access to the water park. As well as the newly christened Friday Night Comedy Tent curated by comedian Tim Hanlon (aka Dave's cousin). All ticket holders will be able to enjoy the site's free carnival rides, the Rock-N-Roll museum and pop up record shop, plus curated food trucks and traditional festival food.
