The Killers' new album, live webcast, tour and more

The Killers' fourth studio album, Battle Born, is out tomorrow on Island Records.

Following an American Express: Unstaged webcast, also Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. EDT, The Killers will be on TV. Appearances include The Late Show with David Letterman (Sept. 20), Good Morning America (Sept. 21), Jimmy Kimmel Live (Sept. 24), Ellen (Sept. 28).

Battle Born is named after the words emblazoned on the Nevada state flag. In addition to sharing its name with the band’s recording studio, the music is everything Killers fans have waited for since the band announced they would be taking a short hiatus at the start of 2010.

The group's exclusive Unstaged performance will be livestreamed from the Paradise Theater in New York City and helmed by award-winning director Werner Herzog (Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, Encounters at the End of the World). Known for pushing cinematic boundaries, he was selected by The Killers to capture the performance with a visually stunning home viewing experience.

“We’re so honored to work with Werner Herzog,” said Killers front man Brandon Flowers. "He's made some legendary films and we can't believe we got him to do this.”

On the upcoming tour (dates are below), Tegan and Sara serve as opening act.
