Coachella '19 news: The Frights

Big Hassle Media
Here's what's up with one of the handful of traditional rock acts (in this case, punk) on the Coachella '19 bill. These guys hail from Southern California...

The Frights have share their latest music video, “Over It (Live)” from upcoming album, The Frights Live At The Observatory. “Over It (Live)” is the biggest single from their most recent album, Hypochondriac, with almost 1.5 million Spotify streams. This live album is a document of their sold-out kick off show of their Hypochondriac headline tour at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA last September. It features 14 songs spanning the band’s catalog.

Some history:

Inspired by attending a show at the aforementioned Observatory, Mikey Carnevale and Richard Dotson formed The Frights soon after they graduated from high school in Poway, CA. From there, they released two EPs and their self-titled full-length debut in 2013. With the addition of Marc Finn and Jordan Clark, the band released You Are Going To Hate This in February 2016. It debuted on the CMJ Top 200.

Since 2015, the San Diego area surf-punk band has done over 300 shows across the U.S. and Europe, as well as at festivals like Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Ohana, Riot Fest and will be at this year’s Coachella.

The Frights - Mikey Carnevale (vocals/guitar), Richard Dotson (bass), Marc Finn (drums), and Jordan Clark (guitar) - signed to Epitaph in early 2018.
