Mansionair set March 1 for debut album, tour

Sydney-based, Grammy-nominated band Mansionair announce the release of their debut album Shadowboxer March 1 on Glassnote Records. New single “Shadows” is out today. The band will hit the road for their first US headline tour, kicking off in West Hollywood at The Roxy in March and wrapping up in Kansas City in April. Full list of tour dates below.

Shadowboxer was written and self-produced over a three-year period - in living rooms, studios, a garage in inner-city Sydney, and finally a cabin in the California mountains in-between the band’s travels and touring.

It’s the culmination of a journey that started with a viral hit single and led to high profile collaborations, a Grammy nomination, Billboard charting singles and several major support tours (CHVRCHES, Florence & The Machine, Bob Moses, SiriusXM Advanced Placement co-headline). But it’s also an album reflective of everything the band were going through personally and creatively - from mental health to sickness, relationship breakdowns to the ordinary coming-of-age struggles of youth.

"Shadowboxer is about acknowledging that we are often our own opponent, and learning to accept our inner shadows - the ones we try so hard to ignore. It’s a record about deciding to lift our gaze from the darkness and acknowledge the light that shapes us. It bookends our first years of discovering who we are and what we wanted Mansionair to be, as we pushed through insecurities, uncertainties and moments of relief. It’s as much a diary of our first three years working together as friends as it is about making every mistake possible together," Mansionair said collectively of their debut album.

2018 was a milestone year for Mansionair... They received their first Grammy nomination for their collaboration with Odesza on the single “Line of Sight”, which climbed Billboard’s Dance/Electronic charts. They received their first Billboard Alternative charting song with “Astronaut (Something About Your Love).”

The band received their feature on the FIFA 19 Soundtrack with “Violet City.” The band’s genre-splitting production style also ensured a steady stream of others queuing up for their remix treatment; Death Cab for Cutie, Portugal. The Man, Rhye, Gryffin, and others.

To date Mansionair have accumulated over 130 million streams
