For a sneak peek of the AUDIENCE Network concert "Sheryl Crow," view an exclusive full-song performance of the title track "Be Myself" on Rolling Stone (here).

Sheryl Crow describes "Be Myself" as, "The song speaks to trying to figure out a way to just accept your foibles and embrace the idea of being happy with who you are."

On Be Myself, Crow worked again with producer, musician, and songwriter Jeff Trott, a long-time collaborator throughout her career. Trott co-wrote many of Crow's classic hits including "If It Makes You Happy" and "My Favorite Mistake."

Crow says her main goal was "to investigate what made my early songs strike people as being authentic and original. So for the first time in my life, I made it a point to sit down and really listen to my old records. I'd drive my kids to school and play the old stuff as I came back home. That helped me remember what it felt like when I was just beginning as an artist. But it wasn't about repeating myself. It was about revisiting where I came from and seeing where that would take me now."

"The other thing that makes Be Myself special to me is that it's really topical,"Crow continues. "This past summer, because of what was going on in the world and particularly in the United States; I began to feel a sense of urgency about writing."

Crow and Trott enlisted Tchad Blake to engineer and mix the sessions with whom they hadn't worked with for 18 years.

Last week on HSN, Crow presented her new signature fashion collection and performed tracks from the new album, plus several of her greatest hits, as part of the retailer's Music City: Nashville special event.

Earlier this morning, she was the featured guest in all three hours of NBC's The Today Show, including a live performance outdoors on the Today Plaza.

Tomorrow, April 20, Crow will perform her single "Halfway There" and sit for an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Tune in to CBS at 11:35 p.m.ET/ PT and 10:35 p.m. CT.
