Faith No More confirmed their first North American shows since 2010 with a spring outing kicking off in April.

The announcement comes as the Bay Area band wraps up work on their follow-up to 1997’s Album of the Year.

It is due this May via the band’s newly formed imprint, Reclamation Recordings, which is distributed by Ipecac Recordings. Faith No More founder and bass player, Bill Gould is overseeing production.

Gould said some of the cities haven’t been played in over 17 years. "We are armed with the new material and ready for whatever comes our way.” Tickets on sale now.

Preceding the tour is the release of a second single from the forthcoming album, “Superhero,” which will be available as a limited edition 7-inch single on March 17 followed by a digital release on March 31. I was really impressed by the following band when I saw it open for Phillip Phillips on tour late last year (see my review elsewhere on this blog)...

F-Stop/Atlantic Records band Saints of Valory have announced a new North American headline tour, including a special appearance at Rock in Rio USA 2015 on May 8 in Las Vegas. The band, who most recently released an EP, “V,” last year, which featured the single “Long Time Coming,” is currently at work on their full-length debut.

Though its members have roots in such far-flung locales as Brazil, Greece, and Southeast Asia, Saints of Valory came together in Austin, Texas and immediately made a name for themselves with their distinctive concoction of rock hooks and contemporary pop songcraft.

Named as a finalist in the Billboard Music Awards’ 2012 “Battle of the Bands” competition, Saints of Valory soon joined forces with F-Stop/Atlantic Records. “Possibilities,” the band’s label debut EP, arrived in July 2013, highlighted by the anthemic melodies of songs like “Kids” and “Neon Eyes (Into The Deep).” The latter track reached the top 10 at AAA radio, while its companion video was featured on MTV Buzzworthy.

Saints of Valory is: Gavin Jasper – lead vocals/bass * Godfrey Thomson – guitar/vocals * Stephen Buckle – keyboards/vocals.
