Dwight Twilley returns with his new album Always on Nov. 18 through Big Oak Records. Known for such tunes as “I'm on Fire,” “Girls” and “Why You Wanna Break My Heart” over the past few decades, the power pop veteran put out acclaimed album Green Blimp in 2010 and Soundtrack the following year.
Now Twilley seems to be on another roll with the unexpected re-emergence of the iconic Dwight Twilley Band anthem “Lookin' for the Magic” off 1977's Twilley Don't Mind. The song is featured in the recent thriller flick “You're Next” and is slated for uses in multiple films in production for 2015.
The spotlight is currently refocused on new album Always. Even the cover art is totally Twilley. An all-star team of guests: Susan Cowsill, Mitch Easter, Ron Flynt, Tommy Keene, Roger Linn, Bill Pitcock IV, Steve Ripley, Leland Sklar, Ken Stringfellow and more all contribute.
