The 50th anniversary of Billy Joel's career launching album, his '70s catalog and rare live set comprise new box set

Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release Billy Joel - The Vinyl Collection, Vol.1 on November 5, kicking off a celebration of the legendary musician's 50 years of artistry.

Billy Joel - The Vinyl Collection, Vol.1 may be pre-ordered NOW HERE

The Vinyl Collection, Vol.1 arrives the same day as the first rescheduled concert in Billy Joel's extraordinary ongoing Madison Square Garden residency on November 5.

A 9LP library, it brings together the artist's first six solo studio albums (Cold Spring Harbor, Piano Man, Streetlife Serenade, Turnstiles, The Stranger, 52nd Street) with his first live album (Songs in the Attic) and an exclusive pressing of Live at The Great American Music Hall - 1975, a previously unreleased concert recording available for the first time in the boxset as a double 12" vinyl album.

All titles have been sourced from the original album tapes and prepared by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound. The boxset includes a 50+ page booklet highlighting Billy's early career through archival photos, an essay by Anthony DeCurtis, Billy's personal observations and insights on his songs and albums, and tributes from his fellow musicians, artists and celebrities.

Live at The Great American Music Hall -1975 is currently exclusive to the boxset and will not be available at digital outlets.

In related news, an animated video for the song, "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" was released today. Created by Lightborne Communications, the video can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izzM9LXqP-U

The Vinyl Collection, Vol.1 arrives to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Billy's career starting with Cold Spring Harbor, first released November 1, 1971. Named after a favorite spot located on Long Island Sound near Billy's hometown, Cold Spring Harbor introduced the world to Billy Joel, singer-songwriter, who, at the beginning of a new decade, was already penning future standards like "She's Got a Way" and "Everybody Loves You Now." The album charted in the United States (#158), Japan (#44) and the United Kingdom (#95).

Piano Man, the second studio album in The Vinyl Collection, Vol.1, was originally released on November 9, 1973 and, on the strength of the title track, helped the artist move on up from lounge singing in Los Angeles to the next level of show biz success. Driven by songs like "Piano Man," "Captain Jack," and "The Ballad of Billy the Kid," the album became Billy's first US Top 40 (#27) and charted in Australia (#14), Canada (#26), Japan (#112) and the United Kingdom (#98). Piano Man has been certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA.

Streetlife Serenade, Billy Joel's third studio album, was originally released on October 11, 1974 and marked the first time Billy deployed synthesizers on a record. His live shows from the period often featured the instrumental, "Root Beer Rag" and the short song, "Souvenir," was a frequent encore. The album introduced "The Entertainer," a key composition in Billy's repertoire. A Top 40 album in the United States (#35), Streetlife Serenade charted in Australia (#85) and Canada (#16) and has been certified RIAA platinum in the United States.

Originally released May 19, 1976, Turnstiles, Billy's fourth studio album, was a celebration of the artist's return to New York with tracks directly referencing his love for his hometown: "Summer, Highland Falls," "Miami 2017 (I've Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway)" and "New York State of Mind," most recently covered by a star-studded cast of musicians, artists and celebrities for a new music video, a PSA lensed in all five boroughs, made in support of the volunteer organization, #NYCNext.

Turnstiles also premiered "Say Goodbye to Hollywood," Billy's tribute to the Ronettes, the quintessential New York girl group; in 1977, Ronnie Spector released her cover of the song, backed by the E Street Band. Turnstiles peaked at #122 in the United States, charted in Australia (#12) and Japan (#286) and has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Billy Joel's fifth studio album, The Stranger, was originally released September 29, 1977 and catapulted the artist into the pop culture stratosphere. The first Billy Joel album to be produced by Phil Ramone, The Stranger was recorded in a mere three weeks and generated no less than four Top 40 hit singles: "Just the Way You Are" (#3), "Movin' Out (Anthony' Song)" (#17), "She's Always a Woman" (#17) and the controversial "Only the Good Die Young" (#24). The album also introduced fans to repertoire standards including "Vienna" and "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant." The Stranger peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 while charting in Australia (#2), Canada (#2), Japan (#3), the Netherlands (#36), New Zealand (#2) and the United Kingdom (#24). The album has achieved RIAA Diamond status and has been recently certified 11x Platinum in the United States. The Stranger brought Billy Joel his first two career Grammy Awards when "Just the Way You Are" took home trophies for Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the 21st Grammy Awards in 1978. The Stranger is Billy's top-selling non-compilation album to-date.

Originally released October 11, 1978, 52nd Street, Billy's sixth studio album, was his first to hit #1 on the Billboard 200. Exploring new musical directions, Billy and returning producer, Phil Ramone, added jazz musicians to the studio ensemble and created an album that generated three Top 40 singles--"My Life" (#3), "Big Shot" (#14) and "Honesty" (#24)--and won two Grammys including the 1980 Grammy for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male. One of the first albums to be commercially released on the then-emerging compact disc format, 52nd Street pays tribute to one of the centers of New York City's mid-century jazz scene, the fabled 52nd Street, where the album was recorded a block away from the CBS Building. Jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard plays the riffs on "Zanzibar," a featured sound in a 2021 TikTok trend. The RIAA has certified the album 7x Platinum.

Originally released in September 1981 (and celebrating its 40th anniversary this year), Songs in the Attic, Billy Joel's first live album, features top-flight performances recorded in concert in June-July 1980, curated specifically to introduce new fans to his earlier 1970s material following the success of The Stranger. The album peaked at #8 on the Billboard 200 while charting in Australia (#9), Canada (#21), Japan (#3), New Zealand (#30), Norway (#12), Sweden (#38) and the United Kingdom (#57). Songs in the Attic has been certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA.

Rounding out The Vinyl Collection, Vol.1 is the previously unreleased double 12" vinyl bonus album, Live at The Great American Music Hall-1975, recorded at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, June 1975. The live gig from the Streetlife Serenade tour introduces the earliest available recordings of future Turnstiles classics "James" and "New York State Of Mind" into Billy's catalog, and includes examples of Billy's loving imitations of Joe Cocker, Elton John and Leon Russell – a staple of his early concerts.

Third Eye Blind news

Third Eye Blind's new album Our Bande Apart is out now via Megacollider Records. It was written during the lockdown and produced by Stephan Jenkins and Colin Holbrook. Our Bande Aparte features contributions from Ryan Olson of Poliça and Marijuana Death Squad, Jeff Schroeder from Smashing Pumpkins and Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast.

Watch the video for “Again,” a duet with Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast. “While everyone is desperately trying to hold onto the late days of summer, here is a California surf rock, horny duet,” adds Jenkins. “Again” is available on all streaming services.

Directed by Kryz Reid and Stephan Jenkins, the companion documentary How We Hold Each Other Right Now: The Making of Our Bande Apart premiered in New York City today at the Gramercy Theater, and follows in Los Angeles on Monday, September 28 at the Masonic Lodge. The screenings will be followed by a Q&A and a storytelling, acoustic performance by Stephan Jenkins and Kryz Reid.

The documentary is an in-depth look at a unique recording process. “I think it shows a group of people playing together, feeling the joy of being creative together again, after so much darkness,” says Stephan.

“There was a different mindset at work,” adds Jenkins, on the new record. “I hope I always stay present as a writer and we always move forward as a band.”

Recorded after lockdown ended, Our Bande Apart “is the most fun we’ve ever had in the studio,” says Stephan. “You can hear the exuberance we have playing together in the same room again.”

“Again” follows the video for “Box of Bones,” a video celebrating creativity and connection directed by David Wexler (Motorcycle Drive By, TriBeCa Film Festival 2020) and inspired by Marina Abramović’s legendary art installation, The Artist Is Present.

Lead single "Nothing But the Love" is currently climbing Billboard’s Adult Top 40 Airplay chart.

“This record is a collection of pages torn from my diary -- stories and truths, Like an autobiography of sorts of the past 8-10 years of my life,” said Wrabel about the album in a press release. “My biggest dream and my biggest hope for this record is that it would reach people and make them feel less alone. If they’re in love, that it would help celebrate that love; If they lost love, that it would be a shoulder to cry on. Whoever you are and wherever you are, i hope you know that these words are all for you.”

Wrabel's career so far has encompassed collaborations with Afrojack & Marshmello respectively in 2014, his first charting song “11 Blocks” in 2016, the debut of his acclaimed LGBTQ+ anthem “The Village” in 2017, collaborations with Kesha and P!nk in 2019 and a performance of “hurts like hell” on NBC’s TODAY in early 2020.

Bestfriend have a new EP, Places I’ve Lived, scheduled for October 1. The Canadian indie-pop duo was half-formed through a mutual friend and half-formed through Instagram DMs in 2018. The two young artists, Stacy Kim and Kaelan Geoffrey, make music from thousands of miles apart; Stacy in the west, Kaelan in the east.

Through trial and error (and many gigabytes of .wav files sent back and forth), they’ve found their stride in dreamy, story-telling pop songs. Bestfriend used their innate skills in collaboration and intuition to release their first original dual-release single, Television '99 and twentyfour. Geoffrey's expert use of dreamy, almost euphoric synthesizers paired with Kim's guiding, melodious vocals pulls listeners into a shared space, creating harmony within the themes of uncertainty.

After testing the waters of remote collaborating on this dual release, they swung into their next release, dropped mid-lockdown in July of 2020. "Last Bus in the A.M." is a fast and frenzied single about your favorite worst party — the pair received accolades on the single, landing the Spotify Fresh Finds playlist, airtime on London’s Hoxton Radio and coverage on Hype Machine.

Riding the momentum of the previous release, "Does It Matter?" was released in September 2020, becoming their breakthrough single — once again earning airtime on Hoxton Radio, added to the Spotify editorial playlist soda, and covered by publications in the likes of FMS mag, GigSoup and A1234.

Last month, Bestfriend released "Hannah in the City," a bittersweet indie pop bop about life's big what if's. The track was premiered via The Line of Best Fit

Places I’ve Lived is a love letter to all of the experiences and people from Bestfriend’s young adult lives. Heavily inspired by storytelling songwriters like Lorde, The National, Big Thief and Julia Jacklin, with production inspired by Bleachers, FINNEAS, The 1975, Rina Sawayama.

Created remotely, with Stacy on the west coast and Kaelan in the east, Stacy would write songs, create rough demos and send them to Kaelan who would then produce it from there, passing it back and forth between each other to add/detract elements. Places I’ve Lived will be closely followed by its sister EP, Places I’ve Left, thematically similar to its predecessor.

For this run, Bestfriend has built out a letter-writing campaign http://bestfriendirl.com/letters - fans can write letters to their old selves / places they used to live / just how their day was, and if they write a letter and provide their address, they’ll eventually receive one back, anonymized.

The new EP was written and produced entirely by the duo and mixed by Grammy-nominated Travis Ference (Tori Kelly, Imagine Dragons).

Track listing:

1. You Want Everyone to Love You
2. Does it Matter?
3. Hannah in the City
4. Last Bus in the A.M.
5. For Grace, After the Party
6. Good to See You

Former Spacehog singer Royston Langdon reveals new EP with originals and Bowie cover

English vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Royston Langdon (former lead singer for the British rock band Spacehog) is set to release his second solo project this fall. Available to pre-order now, Langdon’s six-track EP Chains (due out October 29 via BFD/The Orchard in CD and digital formats, with a vinyl edition coming next year) features all-new compositions, as well as covers of songs from David Bowie and Iggy Pop.

The lead single, “Halfway Home” is on all digital platforms as is the official video (click here to watch). Langdon says in a press release, “‘Halfway Home’ was written with a sense of urgency. I know I’m at a crossroads but I’m still full of life. Perhaps, with the benefit of a small amount of wisdom, I feel more aware now (than ever before) that one is emotionally always halfway between life and death. I’m lucky in that I survived, where many of my peers haven’t. So, to that end, the song is about accepting where we’re at in this very moment and let’s face it, we’ve all been locked up for awhile and I for one, have given rise to the feeling that there’s not a hell of a lot of time left…so let’s get on with it.”

Click here to stream/download “Halfway Home” and pre-save the album.

Recorded in Brooklyn, NY, Langdon enlisted Bryce Goggin (Antony and the Johnsons, The Apples in Stereo) and Adam Sachs to produce and engineer Chains. Langdon handled the songwriting on the four original tracks (along with Matt Hackett on the song “Chains”) and played all the instruments heard on the EP, with the exception of “Chains” and “Creepy Crawly” featuring drummer Parker Kindred (Jeff Buckley, Black Beatle) and “Halfway Home” featuring Sachs on drums.

In support of the EP, Langdon is embarking on a 25-date U.S. tour with The Psychedelic Furs, kicking off on October 16th in Tucson, AZ and wrapping up on November 21st in Concord, NH. The tour includes stops in Houston, Dallas, Austin, New Orleans, Orlando, and New York, among others. Full tour itinerary below and for tickets, visit RoystonLangdon.com.

Regarding Chains, Langdon shares, “I’ve often found it difficult for me to move on in my life and in my work. At times, I’ve chosen seemingly reliable mechanisms of avoidance, rather than face the more difficult confrontation and change required. This practice has in turn, created its own sort of trauma loops, which include repeating the same old patterns over and over, eventually leading to the destruction and recycling of relationships, and leaving me scared to get close. During this destruction and confusion, I notice similarities to the world around me and the world online, where we try to create a new and better version of the world for ourselves -- one in which we can merely scroll and in doing so, immediately recognize certain patterns in others, eventually leading to our development of an entirely new sense or instinct to help us better navigate our reality. Sometimes, I catch myself zoned in on the idea of this pretend, online version of reality because it’s more beautiful and better than my actual present reality (with all its frailties), which I’m afraid of.

"This inspired the self-titled track ‘Chains,’ where I use a metaphor for the world’s rich building McMansion after McMansion, row after row, in hopes of creating a new version of ‘a better life.’ In being so desperate and willing to go to any lengths to avoid their own fears, by creating a fake of a fake, they manufacture a ‘today’ which is just another version of what they had yesterday, and never another tomorrow.”

Track list:

1. Halfway Home
2. Chains
3. Nazi Girlfriend
4. Creepy Crawly
5. Ashes to Ashes
6. Love is a Gift

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band's entire 'No Nukes' set scheduled for release

Sony Music Entertainment’s Premium Content Division, in partnership with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, has announced "The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts," a Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band film featuring ten never-before released performances from the Madison Square Garden MUSE benefit concerts, and full footage of the band's entire setlist for the first time.

Edited by longtime Springsteen collaborator Thom Zimny from the original 16mm film alongside remixed audio from Bob Clearmountain, "The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts" represent the highest quality and best recorded Bruce Springsteen performances from a rarely-filmed era of the E Street Band. "The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts" film will be released in HD on physical formats November 19, including on two CD with DVD, two CD with Blu-Ray and two LP formats. The film will be available globally in HD for digital download on November 16 and digital rental on November 23.

"A few years ago, I started re-examining the filmed archives for Bruce and the Band’s appearances at the No Nukes concerts of 1979," said Thom Zimny. "I quickly realized that these were the best performances and best filming from the band’s legendary Seventies, and dedicated myself to bringing out the full potential of the footage. Having worked as Bruce’s principal director and editor for the last 20 years, I can say without reservation that this newly re-edited, re-mixed and restored ninety minute film is the gold standard for Bruce and the band live during one of their greatest creative periods."

“The Seventies were a golden period in the history of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and the Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts is the greatest document of that era we will ever have," said Jon Landau. "It’s a pure rock show from beginning to end, the energy level is transcendent, and the mastery of the art and the craft of rock music is awe inspiring.”

Kelly Clarkson gets into the holiday spirit

Kelly Clarkson has announced When Christmas Comes Around…, her ninth studio album arriving October 15 via Atlantic Records. The lead single is “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)."

In a prepared statement, Clarkson said, “My purpose for choosing this lyric for being the title of this project was to bring forth a sense of reality to the fact that we are probably all in very different places emotionally ‘when Christmas comes around.’ Some of us consumed with a new love, some of us reminded of loss, some filled with optimism for the coming new year, others elated for some much deserved time away from the chaos our work lives can sometimes bring us. Wherever you are, and whatever you may be experiencing, I wanted everyone to be able to connect to a message on this album. Each year you may even have a new favorite depending on where you are in your life, but while change can be unpredictable there is no better time of year, in my opinion, to breathe hope into one’s life and let possibility wander.”

The collection features a mix of new original songs and Christmas classics, alongside collaborations with Ariana Grande (“Santa, Can’t You Hear Me”), Chris Stapleton (“Glow”) & Brett Eldredge (2020’s hit single “Under The Mistletoe”).

When Christmas Comes Around… marks the latest album from Clarkson since 2017’s Meaning of Life and her second holiday offering following 2013’s Wrapped In Red. Meanwhile, this past month alone has seen Clarkson kick off the third season of the six-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning The Kelly Clarkson Show and return as three-time champion coach on the 21st season of The Voice.

Brian Wilson news

“We had an upright piano in our living room and from the time I was 12 years old I played it each and every day. I never had a lesson, I was completely self-taught.

I can’t express how much the piano has played such an important part in my life. It has bought me comfort, joy and security. It has fuelled my creativity as well as my competitive nature.

I play it when I’m happy or feeling sad. I love playing for people and I love playing alone when no one is listening.

Honestly, the piano and the music I create on it has probably saved my life.”
- BRIAN WILSON

Brian Wilson - the legendary founding member of The Beach Boys, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and multiple award winner -
returns to his catalogue of hits and performs them alone with his piano on his new album, At My Piano. It is set for Nov. 19 via Decca Records.

alt-J returns next year with new album, tour

The Mercury Prize-winning, multiple GRAMMY- and BRIT Award-nominated band alt-J's fourth album The Dream is set for release February 11 via Canvasback / Infectious Music. The band’s new single “U&ME” is out now and accompanied by a music video. “U&ME” is produced by long-time collaborator Charlie Andrew and is the band’s first new music since their acclaimed third album RELAXER, released in 2017.

Directed by band member Gus Unger-Hamilton’s brother, Prosper Unger-Hamilton, the video for “U&ME” is the first to feature the full band. It’s an evocative video that recalls summer memories and was inspired by Newman’s experiences at a festival in Melbourne.

The album was created following their world tour in support of previous album RELAXER which saw the guys perform a global sold out tour including shows at The Hollywood Bowl and the O2.

“U&ME” was written during various soundchecks across the globe, when the band got back to London and heard the recordings they knew it was one of their most dynamic recordings to date. Speaking on the process, Joe Newman says, “It gathered momentum on its own, it was best to just get out of its way. We were just there.”

Elaborating on the meaning of “U&ME”, Gus Unger-Hamilton says, “It’s about being at a festival with your best friends, having a good time, togetherness, and the feeling in life that nothing could be any better than it is right now”

The band have announced the first leg of their world tour with their most extensive ever North American run to date with Portugal The Man. The tour sees them play arenas across the United States and Canada in 2022.

Fans can sign up for early tour access to tickets by going to altjandptm.com. American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Wednesday, September 29 at 10 am local through Thursday, September 30 at 10 pm local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, October 1 at 10am local time at altjandptm.com.

Early Pretenders albums to get deluxe reissue

I've been a big fan of the band since I was 10 years old and bought "Brass in Pocket" on 7" vinyl. Much later, I'd interview drummer Martin Chambers. I can't wait to experience this. Read below for the details...

On November 5, Pretenders’ first two albums will be celebrated in two brand-new 3CD deluxe editions curated by Chrissie Hynde and will be available from all music retailers. Pretenders and Pretenders II (it's 40th Anniversary is this year) will also be available on limited edition red and white vinyl respectively, as well as special, numbered print based on the "Brass In Pocket" single cover limited to 500 copies worldwide, exclusively available at Rhino.com.

Curated by Chrissie Hynde, both Pretenders and Pretenders II are each presented in 12x12 3CD deluxe sets, featuring a book with brand-new liner notes by journalist Will Hodgkinson. They also include rare photos of the band.

PRETENDERS (DELUXE EDITION) contains the original album remastered by Chris Thomas, alongside demos, rarities, and live performances. These include BBC sessions on The Kid Jensen Show, and performances at The Paris Theatre, London, and Paradise Theater in Boston.

PRETENDERS II (DELUXE EDITION) also features a remastered version of the album by Chris Thomas, demos, and alternates alongside two live performances; one from Central Park, New York City in 1980, and a show from The Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in 1981.

Pretenders’ first release came almost a year earlier to the album’s release, with their Top 40 debut single, a cover of The Kinks’ "Stop Your Sobbing" produced by Nick Lowe. Next came "Kid," another UK Top 40 hit and their first originally written single. Following both singles would come one of Pretenders’ biggest tracks to this day, "Brass In Pocket."

"Brass In Pocket" hit #1 in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, and South Africa, as well as Top 5 in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, New Zealand and more. It was also a success in the US, reaching #14 and becoming the 7th music video aired on MTV. The album was certified Platinum in USA, and Gold in UK, Netherlands, Belgium, and New Zealand.

During the year between Pretenders and Pretenders II, the band released two singles in the UK, "Talk Of The Town" and "Message Of Love," with the former reaching #8 and the latter #11 in the UK singles charts. In the US, Pretenders released an EP simply named Extended Play, containing five tracks that would later be on the Pretenders II album.

Pretenders II was released on August 15, 1981 and would end up peaking #7 in the UK, and #10 in the US, being certified Silver and Gold respectively.

Eels delve into some 'Witchcraft' in January

Eels will release their fourteenth studio album Extreme Witchcraft on January 28 via PIAS and the band’s own E Works Records; pre-save/pre-order and stream the song “Good Night On Earth” HERE.

Leader Mark Oliver Everett, aka E, co-produced the record with PJ Harvey producer and guitarist John Parish, marking the first time the two have recorded together since 2001’s Souljacker album. A spring 2022 tour of Europe and America, starts in March in Belfast; get tickets HERE.

Says E: “John Parish is one of the most even-tempered, polite people I’ve ever met. A true gentleman. Actually he’s probably the most polite person I’ve ever met. But when he gets into the studio he becomes a mad scientist. If you make music with John Parish, you get stuff no one else does. He has a really unique toolbox and musical outlook. Perhaps his politeness is a coping mechanism to keep Mr. Hyde under control when he’s out of his laboratory.”

Bad Suns next album arrives in January

Los Angeles-based band Bad Suns have announced their fourth studio album Apocalypse Whenever out January 28 via Epitaph Records.

Produced by long-time collaborator, Eric Palmquist (Mutemath, Thrice), the 13-track album was conceived as the soundtrack to a movie that doesn’t yet exist. The album’s protagonist washes up on the shores of a fictionalized LA after a near-death experience at the hands of the turbulent ocean. In order to fully conceptualize their story, the band assembled a mood board. From there, the band traced the totality of the character’s life through a series of flashbacks.

"Throughout the course of the album, the main character is forced to re-evaluate everything that’s happened in their life,” vocalist Christo Bowman explains. “Ultimately, the takeaway they’re left with is, ‘This could all end at any time, so instead of moaning about things, I’m going to make the most of it.’”

The band has also unveiled “When The World Was Mine,” which finds their protagonist nostalgic for what once was.

She & Him augment 2011 Christmas album; holiday shows confirmed

This holiday season, Merge Records will release a special 10th anniversary edition of A Very She & Him Christmas from Zooey Deschanel (She) & M. Ward (Him). Originally released in October 2011, A Very She & Him Christmas was the duo's third album and marked their first release featuring holiday music.

The new, limited-edition deluxe reissue sees Zooey and Matt look to the 1980s for inspiration. A Very She & Him Christmas deluxe is pressed on tinsel silver vinyl and includes a brand-new 7-inch, also on silver vinyl, that features a dazzling version of Madonna’s “Holiday” and a cover of Wham!’s “Last Christmas,” as well as a bonus download of their take on “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” the Meredith Wilson classic popularized by Perry Como and Bing Crosby in 1951. The 7-inch can also be purchased separately on evergreen vinyl.

They have some tour dates in December, including two hometown shows at Los Angeles’ Theater At The Ace Hotel. (All dates below). Tickets go on sale Friday (9/24).

Ever since the album was first released in 2011, She & Him have donated a portion of sales from the album to 826 National, a non-profit for young people to ignite and channel their creativity, explore identity, advocate for themselves and their community, and achieve academic and professional success. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been donated to date, and She & Him are proud to continue that initiative with this reissue.
