Patti Smith's 'Horses' to get special reissues in October

Legacy Recordings/Sony Music Entertainment will release special 2LP and 2CD editions of Patti Smith's Horses on October 10 to mark the classic's 50th anniversary. Pre-order is available now here.

The original album was remastered direct from the original 1/4” master tapes and extras include previously unreleased outtakes and rarities, plus Smith’s 1975 RCA audition tape. The eight never-before-released songs comprise “Snowball,” “Birdland (Alternate Take),” along with RCA demos. “Snowball” (here) is the first single available on all streaming platforms.

On November 4, Patti Smith will publish her long-awaited memoir, Bread of Angels, via Random House Publishing.
