Marc Broussard ready to save more souls

Critically acclaimed “Bayou soul” singer-songwriter, Marc Broussard has announced his second philanthropic album, benefiting his S.O.S. foundation with a portion of the profits going to City of Refuge based in Atlanta.

S.O.S 2: Save Our Soul: Soul On A Mission, will be released Sept. 30. The album is a collection of classic soul hits from the 1950s and ‘60’s by Wilson Pickett, Solomon Burke, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin among others.

Redding's “These Arms of Mine” features an appearance by Huey Lewis.

The release of this second charitable record through Broussard's S.O.S. Foundation, which started in 2007 will help use music, both recorded and live, to raise money for causes he's passionate about.

City Of Refuge, an Atlanta, GA based organization that does groundbreaking work with that cities homeless population are the recipients of half of the proceeds from this release. http://cityofrefugeatl.org
