Having just done NPR First Listen Live from New York City and their debut appearance on The Colbert Report, Iggy and the Stooges' released their new album, Ready To Die, is in stores now via Fat Possum.
The follow-up to the first record ever to bear the Iggy and the Stooges logo - 1973's Raw Power, the new one finds Iggy Pop, guitarist James Williamson and drummer Scott Asheton reunited for a full album of all-new material for the first time in 40 years (Mike Watt handles bass).
Closing ballad "The Departed" is a somber tribute to late founding bassist Ron Asheton.
