Snow Patrol's Greatest Hits will be released on May 14.
It includes a newly edited version of "The Lightning Strike" as the new single.
Originally a 16-minute song on the last album A Hundred Million Suns, demand has been high for an edited version since the song was used in the film trailers for films Act of Valor and Epic. Band members personally supervised the compilation, which collects tracks from Snow Patrol's last four studio albums.
