Jon Foreman told me this album was forthcoming when I interviewed him in late 2011. Glad to see it will finally see the light of day soon.
Fiction Family returns with its sophomore album ...Reunion through Rock Ridge Music on Jan. 29. The group consists of Jon Foreman (Switchfoot), Sean
Watkins (Nickel Creek), bassist
Tyler Chester and drummer Aaron Redfield.
While 2009's self-titled debut was almost
entirely self-created by Foreman and Watkins, working in their
own home studios, the new album finds the pair with added input.
It was recorded at Switchfoot's Spot X Studio in Carlsbad,
CA over a series of sessions from 2010-12. Fiction Family was joined on some tracks by Nickel Creek fiddle player Sara Watkins and
multi-instrumentalist John Mark Painter.
Fiction Family will embark on a North American tour presented by To
Write Love on Her Arms, a non-profit movement dedicated to finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction,
self-injury and suicide. The "Heavy & Light Tour" is slated to
hit 15 cities across the U.S. and Canada, beginning in mid-January
