This was a fun point in the show and I'm glad I was there. Here are details from the press release...
Peter Gabriel was having some fun with fans at his sold out Hollywood Bowl concert on Oct. 6. The Grammy Award winning musician and activist had the crowd roaring
when he brought John Cusack to the stage to kick off his song, “In Your
Eyes.”
The song was prominently featured in 1980s cult
classic film, “Say Anything,” directed by Cameron Crowe. Cusack came out with old school boom box in hand,
paying tribute to what his character Lloyd Dobler did in the film.
Crowe was also backstage watching the bowl show and later tweeted about it.
Gabriel's current North American Tour, “Back to Front,” celebrate the 25th Anniversary of his highly successful “So” album and winds down with shows tonight in Santa Barbara, Saturday in Uncasville, CT and Sunday in Fairfax, VA. The 25th Anniversary remastered edition and box set of “So” is available Oct. 23.
