Alabama band tour dates

Last year, I caught the band for the first time live at Stagecoach Festival 2012 in Indio, Calif. (see my review elsewhere on this blog). Glad to see they are remaining active...

Veteran country music hitmakers Alabama will embark on the Back to the Bowery Tour set to launch in South Carolina and run throughout the year. Additional dates are expected to be announced soon. Tickets are on sale now in select markets. Pre-sale perks will be offered for fan club members and VIP tickets will also be available for each market.

The Back to the Bowery tour marks the first time Alabama has announced an extensive run since 2002.

"I'm so excited to celebrate 40 years since our first show at The Bowery," says frontman, Randy Owen. "We still love one another, have played music together all these years, and are blessed to still be around. Most importantly, we are ever grateful for the fans, many having been with us since we used to play for tips, so to be able to go back out and play for them will make this a very special year."

Besides the tour and new album slated for release later this year, the band will also embark on their very first musical cruise. The Alabama and Friends Festival at Sea - a four-night cruise from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas and Great Stirrup Cay - will set sail Oct. 24.
