Cowboy Junkies' 1996 album 'Lay it Down' will get first vinyl release in August

Lay it Down, the sixth studio album from Cowboy Junkies, will be released on black vinyl for the first time on August 4 via Real Gone Music.

Produced by John Keane (R.E.M., Indigo Girls), it was the first to consist or all original material. Lay it Down went gold in the band's native Canada. “A Common Disaster” also was a top 20 hit at U.S. modern rock radio.

The "Angel Mine" music video, featuring comedienne/actress Janeane Garofalo was was filmed at LA's El Rey Theatre. "Hold on to Me" was used in the soundtrack of the 1998 film Homegrown.
