Next month will see a new Shonen Knife album

Japan's all-girl alternative pop trio Shonen Knife will release OUR BEST PLACE, their first new album in nearly three years, on February 15. It is their 10th full length release on Good Charamel Records in North America.

In addition to new originals, there is a re-record of "Girl's Rock,” a song which was on Loft Records' compilation Girls L.T.D - Girls Like To Dance in 2003 and has since become an anthem for many girl bands, as well as a cover of "Just A Smile" by Scottish Pilot who Shonen Knife's Naoko is a fan of. As a bonus, the CD version will include "Nice Day (60's Mix)", "The Story of Baumkuchen" (Japanese Version – “Baumkuchen no Hanashi”), and "Girl's Rock" (2023 Japanese Version)."

Overseas touring will resume in 2023 with European dates in March and a UK tour in the late Spring, followed by more international touring and a return to North America.
