The track was originally recorded back in December as part of a KZZ Music charity project, before the current conflict in Ukraine began. But upon listening to it last week, Devlin and KZZ Music/Blue Élan Records co-founder, Kirk Pasich, realized how much the message in the song is now more timely than ever with the state of our world today. As Devlin says, “It’s a song about the senseless loss of life and how history repeats itself. For the last 70 years we’ve been hearing ‘never again’ but here we are, again.”
Devlin continues, “We’re all horrified by what is currently unfolding before our eyes in Ukraine. As a father of two small children, it is heartbreaking to watch these images. To see my own children’s faces in the faces of the countless numbers of innocent refugees fleeing from the terror they are currently experiencing, you realize that this is not happening ‘somewhere else’. It’s not abstract, it is very, very real and whether we like it or not, we are all connected one way or another. As always it is the innocent who suffer the most in war. The mothers, the children. So, we ask ourselves, what can we do? As an artist I can use my voice to create.”
Devlin and Blue Élan Records are joining together to release it now with all revenue benefiting Save The Children, directly to the Children’s Emergency Fund.

Young Irish trio Rowan have released their second single, "Honesty," from the band’s upcoming debut album, Does It Make You Happy? due out May 6 and available for pre-order now.

“It’s hard to be 100% honest with ourselves and each other” explain the band, who sing of the tribulations of keeping one’s integrity intact, over a bed of mesmerizing garage-rock grooves and blustery guitar lines. The track is accompanied by a video, compiled of raw footage from the band’s archive; a montage of their favorite moments from the past year.
"Honesty" is the follow-up track to "Irish To My Bones" and "Youth & Youthhood" which have received support from Steve Lamacq & Lauren Laverne at 6 Music in England.
Rowan released the independently released debut EP No One Is Safe Here. The songs were inspired by Howes’ “various struggles with mental health” as he used art to “try and get the bad stuff out. It’s like therapy,” he explains.
The group then signed to Beverly Martel with last year’s EP, Everybody Talks, their first imprint with the LA label. Videos for "Nothing’s Gonna Change" & "One Of These Days" drew attention in Ireland and beyond.
This year, Rowan teamed up with producer Tim Palmer (U2, Pearl Jam, James) for their debut album Does It Make You Happy?, available for pre-order now. "Honesty," the trio's latest single, is out everywhere now.

In recent years, The Interrupters put out a live album and a cover of Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy,” which went on to be featured in season 2 of the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy. As touring resumed in late 2021, the group supported Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy on the Hella Mega Tour.
Flogging Molly put out the single “These Times Have Got Me Drinking” (https://riserecords.lnk.to/TTHGMD) via Rise Records and celebrated the return of their free, outdoor annual St. Patrick’s Day festival today at the Hollywood Palladium.
On March 28, the band joins the sold-out Salty Dog Cruise, which also includes performances from the Descendents, Frank Turner, Agent Orange and more.

Singer/songwriter Levi Evans announced the release of the music video for his new single “Bug Bite.” Directed by Rosie Barrett, it features a guest appearance by Dublin-born/London-based vocalist Lucy McWilliams. As the son of U2 guitarist Dave "The Edge" Evans, Levi grew up surrounded by music. From a young age he explored a diverse range of unconventional instruments while also studying piano and guitar.
Launching his artist project in August 2021, Evans has already received spins on Elton John’s Sirius XM show, BBC2 from both Jack Saunders and Jo Whiley, and has gained support from Spotify (New Music Friday, New Music Friday UK, License to Chill, Alternative Beats, The New Alt, New Noise, Fresh Finds UK) and Apple (Breaking Alternative, New In Alternative, New In Indie).
“This is really my first real electric guitar album, it's an album with a New York edge,” explains Turner. “Gerry Leonard and I have honed our adult tastes in these rent subsidized, red brick railroad apartments. We’ve carried amps from CBGB’s to Max’s Kansas City and the Mudd Club, cheered on Television and the Ramones while we found footing for our Irish feet in New York’s fashion and filth. We have become New Yorkers without really knowing it,” he continues. “Now all those influences have melded together under one roof, and you are holding the results. It has been terrible good for us to finally work together.”
Turner lives half the year in his hometown of Wexford, Ireland, and the other half in his longtime adopted hometown of New York City. Both places are reflected in his songs, which frequently move between these two different worlds. Since he began his solo career in the 1980s, he’s worked on a broad range of projects including writing for opera, scoring movies, and composing a contemporary Mass. His songwriting has led Turner to collaborate composer Philip Glass on projects such as 1986’s It’s Only a Long Way Across and “Yogi with a Broken Heart.”
Turner previously shared four singles from the album; “Where It Should Be,” “Set A Few Things Up,” “Love Of Angels” and “Tommy and Timmy.”
