AXS TV's next “Docs That Rock” to feature Coldplay, Michael Hutchence and the Seattle grunge scene

AXS TV's “Docs That Rock” returns soon with a trio of broadcast premieres, beginning Wednesday, October 14 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. “Docs That Rock” puts the spotlight on a different music documentary each week.

It all kicks off with the recent feature Coldplay: A Head Full Of Dreams. For the first time ever in their own words, the band tells the story of their journey from humble beginnings to rock superstardom. There are live performances from their A Head Full Of Dreams global tour.

From Coldplay: “A Head Full Of Dreams tells our story from high school to the present day. It’s got everything you’d want in a rock ’n roll doc - embarrassing early footage, frontmen behaving like dicks and some pretty epic concert footage.”

On October 21, “Docs That Rock” looks at the '90s grunge scene in the film Hype! It has rare performances and interviews with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Melvins, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, and more.

The premiere event concludes on October 28, with Mystify: Michael Hutchence, a look at the life and legacy of the late INXS frontman. It was helmed by Hutchence’s friend, filmmaker Richard Lowenstein.

Additional films and dates will be announced at a later time. “Docs That Rock” airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on AXS TV.

Schedule:

Oct. 14 - Coldplay: A Head Full Of Dreams
Oct. 21 - Hype!
Oct. 28 - Mystify: Michael Hutchence
