AXS TV to broadcast SummerStage Jubilee livestream benefit concert with Sting, Norah Jones, Rufus Wainwright

AXS TV announced that it will be the national television broadcaster of the 2020 SummerStage Jubilee livestream benefit concert—airing Thursday, September 17 at 8pE/5pP and an encore at 11pE/8pP. SummerStage Jubilee will also be available to AXS TV’s viewers as an on demand offering for up to 30 days following the original broadcast.

The 90-minute special event aims to raise funds and awareness for New York’s City Parks Foundation. All proceeds from the SummerStage Jubilee will go towards enriching the organization’s programs, which includes free tennis and golf instruction and environmental science-based lessons; as well as providing tools and supplies for volunteers to beautify local parks; funding training, coaching, and microgrants; and maintaining the City Parks Foundation’s new SummerStage Anywhere virtual arts festival, among others.

Viewers can get involved by donating to the City Parks Foundation at various points throughout the night, and by visiting the City Parks Foundation website.

SummerStage Jubilee blends immersive cinematics with enduring songs and personal stories, creating a one-of-a-kind concert event that puts the spotlight on intimate ‘home performances’ from a diverse lineup of artists and entertainers.

Sting, Ryan Seacrest, Lewis Black, Rufus Wainwright, Leslie Odom Jr., Norah Jones, Billie Jean King, Rosanne Cash, Trey Anastasio, H.E.R. are among those to appear.
