Like Totally Music Festival spotlight: The Bangles

While The Bangles are sure to do some of their biggest hits, such as "Manic Monday," "Walk Like an Egyptian," "Hazy Shade of Winter" and "Eternal Flame" when they headline the Like Totally Festival in Huntington Beach, Calif. on May 11, some fans might wonder if the band has recorded anything new lately.

The fact is they have - sort of. The legendary female pop/rockers recently contributed to the unique "3 x 4" compilation alongside other acts (The Three O'Clock, The Dream Syndicate, Rain Parade) that were among LA's influential Paisley Underground scene during the early 1980s.

Each act covered a song by the other three. The Bangles tackled "That's What You Always Say" by The Dream Syndicate; "Talking In My Sleep" by Rain Parade and Jet Fighter by The Three O’Clock. The engaging album is available now on Yep Roc Records and features detailed liner notes on how the project came together, a bit about their history and the songs.
