Barenaked Ladies reveal some 'Fake Nudes'

With over 14 million albums sold, multiple Juno Awards and Grammy nominations, rockers Barenaked Ladies announce the release of 15th studio album, Fake Nudes, on Nov. 17 via Vanguard Records.

The new album features lead single “Lookin’ Up” written by BNL frontman Ed Robertson, Kevin Griffin (Better Than Ezra) and Sam Hollander (who has co-written with Weezer, Fitz & The Tantrums and Train).

States Ed Robertson, “I'm incredibly proud of this collection of songs. This is a record where all band members shine. It's incredible to feel so excited about something 29 years into our career. I'm excited to get out and play these songs live.”

Fake Nudes finds the long-standing partnership of Robertson (guitar, vocals), Jim Creeggan (bass, vocals), Kevin Hearn (keyboard, guitar, vocals) and Tyler Stewart (drums, vocals) back with producer Gavin Brown, who helmed the band’s Grinning Streak (2013), Silverball (2015), and Ladies And Gentlemen: Barenaked Ladies And The Persuasions (2017). Fake Nudes features songs written by Robertson, Hearn and Creeggan.

To coincide with the new release, the band will kick off a Canadian major market tour in November, followed by a U.S. national tour in 2018. The Ladies will be making a special appearance at this year’s KAABOO Festival on Thursday, September 14th in Del Mar, CA.
