Siblings Shelby Lynne + Allison Moorer record album together for the first time

Critically acclaimed artists and sisters Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer will release Not Dark Yet on Aug. 18 via Silver Cross Records/Thirty Tigers. Produced by Teddy Thompson, it is their first album together.

Recorded in Los Angeles last summer, the album looks at the sisters’ individual and collective artistry through eclectic cover song choices. They co-wrote “Is It Too Much.”

Raised in Alabama, the sisters sang as kids. Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer have pursued separate musical paths, garnering a Grammy, an Oscar nod, and many other awards and nominations along the way. They have collectively released 24 albums, but never one together until now.

Not Dark Yet is not a duet record. It is no ordinary collaboration.
