Long awaited return from Trashcan Sinatras

Can't wait to hear new music from TCS, who I've covered many times in the past. Their debut would be among my Desert Island Picks choices...

Scottish alt-popsters Trashcan Sinatras have announced sixth studio album Wild Pendulum, due on Red River Records May 13. The sextet first garnered international attention with successful debut Cake in 1990. They will be touring North America in May and June. The first date announced is NYC Popfest on May 19 at Le Poisson Rouge with more to follow.

Wild Pendulum was initially funded with the help of a Pledge Music campaign and recorded in Omaha, Nebraska with Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit, She And Him).

Hailing from the Scottish seaside town of Irvine, Trashcan Sinatras sprang out of a vibrant music scene. Following the immediate success of early 1990s modern rock radio hits "Obscurity Knocks" and "Only Tongue Can Tell," the band released several acclaimed CDs. After an eight year hiatus, their most recent albums - Weightlifting in 2004 and In The Music in 2009 -  were equally lauded.
