Saint Motel set for Coachella, 'Late Late Show' in April

Elektra Records artist Saint Motel has an international hit single with “My Type,” the title track from the Los Angeles-based quartet’s label debut “My Type” EP, which is available now.

“My Type” is also heading up the Alternative radio chart with major support from Sirius/XM’s Alt Nation and elsewhere. The track is also among Shazam’s “Top 200” and a Spotify standout with more than 9 million streams to date.

Furthermore, Saint Motel is among the 10 rising artists featured in the current cycle of Spotify’s continuing “Emerge” competition.

Fans are invited to listen and follow to support Saint Motel at spotifyemerge.com/artists/saint-motel. Meanwhile, the “My Type” companion video – directed by Saint Motel frontman A/J Jackson – has drawn more than 4 million individual views at the band’s official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/saintmotelvideo.

Saint Motel has some national television appearances scheduled in the coming weeks. The band just made their national television debut with a performance of “My Type” on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and that is followed by an appearance on the CBS’ “Late Late Show with James Corden” on April 6.

“My Type” is earning top airplay in such countries as Germany, Switzerland, and Italy, where the single recently received platinum certification. Saint Motel have fast become pop superstars in Italy, with high profile features in GQ Italia, Cosmopolitan Italia, Italian Vogue and Rolling Stone as well as live appearances on X Factor (Italy) and the nationally televised 65th annual Sanremo Music Festival.

Known for their brilliantly creative live shows, Saint Motel is currently wrapping up a two-month European tour with a series of much anticipated Italian dates. The band will then embark on a series of West Coast live dates including performances at this year’s Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, slated for April 12 & 19. May will see Saint Motel cross the Atlantic for headline shows in the United Kingdom; additional North American tour dates will be announced soon. For details, log on to www.saintmotel.com.

Saint Motel first came together when A/J Jackson recruited fellow Southern California film student Aaron Sharp to join him in a new musical project. Bangkok-born bassist Dak and drummer Greg Erwin completed the group.

“Voyeur,” Saint Motel’s independently released 2012 debut album, earned national attention and significant play on Alternative blogs and specialty radio. Further applause came from the band’s increasingly inventive live performances, including such audio/visual extravaganzas as “The Kaleidoscopic Mind Explosion in 3D” and the annual Zombie Prom, as well as tours alongside Arctic Monkeys, Imagine Dragons, Ariel Pink, Band of Skulls, and Weezer.

Saint Motel is: A/J Jackson (vocals), Aaron Sharp (guitar), Dak (bass), and Greg Erwin (drums).
