Brian Jonestown Massacre unveils 'Revelation'

Brian Jonestown Massacre will release their 14th album, Revelation, on May 20 through A Records (Redeye Distribution). Listen to “What You Isn’t” here: https://soundcloud.com/wastedyouthpr/brian-jonestown-massacre-what/s-qA0r2

Revelation mixes Eastern influences with Western rock, all put together by frontman Anton Newcombe. Recorded from late 2012-2014, it is the first album that was fully produced at his studio in Berlin.

Original band member Ricky Maymi plays guitar and there's a vocal performance in Swedish by Joachim Alhund (Teddybears) on “Vad Hände Med Dem?”

Brian Jonestown Massacre will do select live dates in May. The band will then begin a 45-date tour of mainland Europe including the band’s first ever dates in Warsaw, Prague and Athens: http://www.brianjonestownmassacre.com/?news=euro-tour-2014

Anton explains why the album is named Revelation:

“The simple answer is I love the word. Most of the time I would classify my work "śruti," i.e. "what is heard" definition of the word “revelation.” But on this album and with these songs, there was nothing. No ideas and no guidance and I was still able to create the record for me. That was a revelation.”
