Monday concert update: KROQ, Pixies, Beck, Nick Cave

Details for the 22nd Annual KROQ/106.7 FM Weenie Roast were announced this morning. Held at its frequent home of Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, Calif., the concert lineup features AVICII, Foster the People, Fall Out Boy, The Neighbourhood, Fitz & The Tantrums, Capital Cities, The 1975, Kongos, Phantogram, American Authors and Bleachers. Tickets are $68-$177 and on sale at noon Friday through www.livenation.com
 
Beck just added a several dates to the tour for his latest acclaimed album Morning Phase. He recent drew raves for performances at Coachella and PBS' Austin City Limits (to air this fall)

Last week, the Pixies released Indy Cindy, their first studio album in 22 years and they've made 10 music videos.

A second wave of North American dates will include the Hollywood Bowl on September 28.

Pixies - Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering - will be joined on these dates by touring bassist Paz Lenchantin who cemented the touring lineup in January. Royal Blood will open the bulk of the tour dates; for the Hollywood Bowl show, Gogol Bordello and Cat Power will provide support.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced additional performances in New York City and Los Angeles.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will also make their debut on PBS' Austin City Limits, with a July 20 performance to be aired during Austin City Limits' 40th Anniversary Season this fall.

Drafthouse Films, the film distribution arm of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, will release 20,000 Days On Earth, the documentary on Nick Cave in early fall. The film made its World Premiere at this year's Sundance Film Festival where it was awarded both "Best Directing" and "Best Editing" awards in the World Documentary category.
