Jake Bugg sets new album date; on tour now

Critically acclaimed 19-year old British singer-songwriter Jake Bugg, the youngest male artist in UK chart history to debut at #1 with his first album, has completed work on his second album, Shangri-La which is set to arrive Jan. 14 on Island Records in the U.S., with an EP available Nov. 18.

The video for “What Doesn’t Kill You,” a new track, just premiered on VEVO, and will be at iTunes on Sept. 30.

Bugg is currently in the midst of a sold out U.S.tour that will include performances on TBS’s Conan with Conan O’Brien on Oct. 1, and upcoming Front and Center special on PBS this fall. The tour winds down with two separate performances at the Austin City Limits Festival in Texas in October. He will return to the U.S. with a headline tour kicking off Jan. 8 in Philadelphia (see dates below).

Eponymous debut album Jake Bugg was released last April in the U.S. on Island Records. Many people have been hearing his music on the television spot for Gatorade, featuring “Lightning Bolt,” the opening song on the Jake Bugg album.
