Classic rockers Felder & Shaw collaborate on single

Don Felder has joined forces with Styx singer/guitarist Tommy Shaw for “Wash Away,” the second single from Felder's latest solo album Road to Forever, released last fall on Rocket Science Ventures. The song was co-written by the pair.

The singer/guitarist/songwriter/New York Times best-selling author/four-time Grammy Award winner’s album debuted on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart at #27. "Girls In Black," the first single, reached the Top 30 on the Mediabase Rock chart.

In an interview with an online rock journalist, Felder said he basically built the track top to bottom, but needed lyrical help. Shaw ended up doing harmonies on the songs "Wash Away" and "Heal Me.”

Many of Felder’s fans tuned in to Showtime earlier this month for the premiere of the two-part documentary, "History of the Eagles." Felder has said he felt it was a bit incomplete and surprised by the anger from Glenn Frey.

On April 13, Felder will be performing as part of a very special show for Stephen Stills and wife Kristen's “Light Up The Blues Concert – An Evening of Music to Benefit Autism Speaks,” held at Club Nokia in LA.

Other participants include Crosby, Stills & Nash, Ryan Adams, Rickie Lee Jones, Lucinda Williams and more. The fundraiser -- emceed by Jack Black -- spotlights “Light It Up Blue,” Autism Speaks’ annual global awareness and fundraising campaign celebrated by the international Autism community during World Autism Awareness Day and throughout Autism Awareness Month in April.

VIP Preferred Seating Packages for “Light Up The Blues” are on sale now on CSN’s official website or by phone via AXS tickets and the Staples Center/Club Nokia box offices. No fees are charged at either box office.
