Postal Service tour dates and reissue

Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello a/k/a The Postal Service have unveiled plans for a reunion tour (see dates below), accompanied by Jenny Lewis and Laura Burhenn (Bright Eyes). Tickets are on sale now.

They will be supporting the 10th anniversary deluxe edition reissue of The Postal Service's release Give Up. Out April 9 on Sub Pop. It includes the original album, plus 15 bonus tracks (new songs "Turn Around" and "A Tattered Line of String"; a previously unreleased live recording, covers of The Shins and Iron & Wine and more).

Both the tour and album find Lewis reuniting with The Postal Service. She was on the original album and played with the band on its handful of 2003 tour dates. Lewis also sings on the two new songs. 

Give Up was certified platinum last year just under 10 years from its original release. Led by the single "Such Great Heights," the landmark album is the second-biggest selling album in Sub Pop's history after Nirvana's Bleach.
