Kenny Loggins & Blue Sky Riders firm up debut album release

I was very impressed by this trio when I reviewed their show in Anaheim earlier in the year (it can be found elsewhere on this blog or at soundcheck.ocregister.com). Can't wait to hear the album. Read below for more on their activities.

Blue Sky Riders (Kenny Loggins, Georgia Middleman and Gary Burr) will stream a live performance online from Santa Barbara, CA on Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. PST. The show may be viewed at stageit.com/BlueSkyRiders or facebook.com/BlueSkyRiders.

By logging on to the Stageit.com website, fans will be given the opportunity to purchase credits (or notes) which allow you to see shows and tip the performers during the show. The fee is “pay what you can,” and the recommended price is $5.00 (or 50 credits/notes).

Blue Sky Riders are the pop vocal trio conceived by platinum-selling musician Kenny Loggins, Nashville songwriter Georgia Middleman (Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire) and singer/songwriter Gary Burr (member of The Nashville Music Hall of Fame and named #1 Songwriter of the Year by ASCAP, Billboard and NSAI with 13 #1 hit credits).

Blue Sky Riders recently completed a 14 city national tour (including a five-night residency at New York’s famed Feinstein’s At Loews Regency) and will perform for the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) in Nashville on Nov. 16-17.

During the upcoming Stageit.com show, the trio will be performing songs from their upcoming self-titled debut album, Finally Home, scheduled for release on Jan. 22. Select singles from the album are digitally available along with the band’s Live At The Rutledge EP, which is currently available for purchase on iTunes.

Blue Sky Riders have also launched Portraits of Bravery, a social media campaign to support our veterans and their families as they readjust to domestic life in America. Blue Sky Riders have invited fans to show their support for the men and women of the US Military by sharing a meaningful image emblematic of bravery to them – a Portrait of Bravery from their own lives.

For each photo that is uploaded, a donation will be made to Operation: Soldier at Ease. Each participating fan will also receive an exclusive digital copy of the Blue Sky Riders’ single, “Feelin’ Brave.” Fans may either upload pictures from Instagram and use the hashtag #bravetogether, or upload pictures from their computer directly to Blue Sky Riders’ Facebook or website. All of the pictures will be displayed in a web mural on the Blue Sky Riders’ website and Facebook. Instagram users will also be able to view their uploaded photos on a map of the United States.
