Mike Doughty's concert, reading and Q&A tour in support of his memoir, "The Book of Drugs" (published in February through Da Capo Press) is winding its way through America this spring. See below for upcoming dates.

Doughty's latest single "Strike The Motion," from his most recent studio album "Yes and Also Yes," follows previous singles "Na Na Nothing" and the Rosanne Cash duet "Holiday" with airplay at the college and Adult Alternative radio formats.

In January, the singer/guitarist released the highly engaging live album, "The Question Jar Show." Featuring more than two dozen selections and excellent sound, the two-disc release was compiled from various U.S. stops on Doughty's '09 tour of the same name. Doughty and his sideman Andrew "Scrap" Livingston played mostly acoustically and answered fans' questions between songs. Fans of Doughty's sardonic sense of humor will not be disappointed.
Additionally, Doughty just announced The Lo-Fi Lodge, a subscription program that will offer fans a weekly download of unreleased recordings dating back to the beginning of his solo career.
The outtakes, demos, alternate versions and more comprises 32 tracks; those who subscribe ($20 one-time fee) before the April 27 deadline will get one new track per week for 32 weeks.
Songs comprise acoustic demo versions from the albums "Golden Delicious" (2008) and "Yes and Also Yes" (2011), digital eight-track demos from "Haughty Melodic" (2005), previously unavailable songs Doughty wrote and recorded for the soundtrack of the independent film "Evenhand" (2002), songs that ended up on "Haughty Melodic" and "Golden Delicious" that began with other producers before Doughty decided to go a different direction, and more.
Some of the tracks have never been heard before in any form, and others represent the germ of a song that was radically altered by the time it was released on an album. All in all, in represents an unusual look inside Doughty's creative process, allowing fans to glimpse the formative stages of his unique work.
